For any new idea of a product or service, the expert team at ISS conducts Strategic & Fundamental Research including UX research, market research, and competitive product analyses as the first stage of the product development lifecycle,
- to discover the end users of products or services and their expectations, needs, and pain points (i.e., the user or product persona(s)),
- to evaluate competitors' products to discover any existing product problems in the market (i.e., problem statement), and
- to find out the strengths, weaknesses, and current market position of competitors' products
In this stage, the user or customer journey map(s) are created based on the user persona and problem statement.
Then we conduct rigorous Design Research during the design phase of the product development lifecycle to come up with multiple product ideas to solve identified problems for user personas (i.e., brainstorming stage). We determine how the product should be built for each idea including all steps, resources, and product design tools needed to turn each idea into a prototype and reality. In this stage, we finalize an idea that is worth pursuing using various methods of screening ideas.
In the next step, our UX design team visualizes your final product and gives you a better understanding of what it will look like by creating user flows, wireframes, 2D and 3D models, prototypes, and information architecture.
After the prototype is built, the prototype is evaluated in a focus group and verified whether it meets the needs of the users identified in the user persona and user journey map. At this stage, the user-friendliness of the product or service is evaluated based on the feedback of early users and their experiences in interacting with it.
Focus group feedback is also valuable for the marketing team to understand what these early users found most useful about the product.
Finally, after the actual product is built, developed, and released to the public, the product or service will be tested on users through Post-Launch Research as the last phase of the product development lifecycle. This research includes usability testing to evaluate the usefulness, usability, and desirability of the product from the perspective of its users through established metrics. Through UX research in this stage, we understand the early users' pain points, needs, expectations, and feedback as well as their effective experience when interacting with the brand, product, or service.
Post-Launch Research provides valuable insights to redesign, rebuild, and improve the product.
We apply various innovative methods and the latest technologies to conduct usability studies.

User experience (UX) aims to identify & meet the user's expectations of your products and service
Industry trends and customer needs are constantly changing. Conducting regular UX research is the only way to make sure you stay ahead of your competitors by adapting to industry trends and customer needs, as well as innovating and improving

Companies may have identified usability issues (problems or challenges that users encounter when using a product or service) or inefficiencies in their products and need the help of UX researchers to understand user behavior and preferences to improve the product's design

Companies may be developing a new product or service and need to understand customer needs and preferences to ensure they create a product that meets market demand

Companies may be experiencing low customer satisfaction or high churn rates and need to understand the root causes to make improvements and retain customers

Companies may be struggling with brand perception and need to understand how their brand is perceived in the market and how to improve it

Companies often want to figure out their competitors and their services. This involves conducting competitive research to gather information about their rivals, such as their strengths and weaknesses, pricing strategies, marketing tactics, and product offerings. By analyzing this data, companies can identify opportunities to improve their own products and services and stay ahead of the competition
